The Download Files pages

Usage: To find a file download.

The directories may be examined in 2 ways:

1. Browse as a Directory listing, or
2. Search directly:
• Enter the first few letters into the Search box.
• Click the Within text boxes (recommended) to search within the directory and/or file name

You are welcome to browse through the directories of available files, and to download any that you wish. However, please note the following general advice for this site:

All drivers, downloads & info on this site are best found via the modem.
Each Modem Manufacturers’ page also has external web-links, where available.

Charges:

There is no charge for access to any file within these directories. Files that are greater than 80.00 MB in size are, however, subject to a small charge for the bandwidth to get it to you; the charge varies according to the size of the file. Smaller files are utterly free of charge.

Access Restrictions:

Files for download may only be accessed via this site - it would collapse under the weight of external downloads from other sites if this were not enforced. This is the full list of requirements & restrictions to download a file:

• Files of 40.00 MB or smaller can be downloaded anonymously - one download per IP per day.
  
  If someone has already downloaded on your IP that day, then you need to be logged-in (see next).
• Files of 80.00 MB or smaller can be downloaded once logged in - one download per person per day.
  
  Free Modem-Help usernames + passwords are available on the Modem-Help Forums. Do not forget to Activate your account after Registration. The Login link is at top-right on each page.
• Larger files, or more than two files a day, require that you are both logged in & signed up to Modem-Help.
  
  “Signed Up” means that you purchase sufficient Bandwidth from Modem-Help. Once logged in with a Modem-Help username/password, the link to purchase Bandwidth is shown at top-right on every non-forums’ page.
• Referer (sic) header: most people can ignore this one; if you can see the logos (top left & bottom of all pages), this restriction does not apply to you. Many bots, spammers & other such switch off their Referer (it is on by default), but Modem-Help uses it to help prevent scrapers. If you find yourself affected, and cannot restore the default, there is extensive info on enabling Referer headers on the WordPress site.

Legalistic Caveats:

Please note that usage of any file is entirely at your own risk. All files are checked to be trojan- & virus-free before upload, and a simple method is provided to check that they have not changed since that point. However, no warranty of any kind is provided, not even the implied warranty of fitness for purpose. If you are adverse to risk, please discover your modem upon the main site, and look on that page for any downloads available from your manufacturer.
