This was supplied by Acer with 2 desktop computers: the Aspire-Idea500 and Aspire-Idea510, and also with a range of laptop computers. The XP drivers appear to be perfectly generic for a vast range of Bluetooth models, and also for all 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows except NT4.

The so-called ‘Vista’ drivers also appear to be generic across all versions of 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. The identical v6.0.1.3600 drivers are also offered for Vista for a vast range of laptop computers supplied by Acer.

You will find another Bluetooth USB adapter within these Acer directories caled the “Widcomm Bluetooth Generic USB Dongle”. It is essentially the same device as this one, but with a larger range of drivers (although the v6.0.1.3600 Vista driver is byte-for-byte identical to that found in these directories).

Although I am almost certain that all drivers within this directory are generic for all the Acer computers, just in case - knowing what driver suppliers and computer manufacturers are like - these are the desktop and laptop computers that each driver was supplied for:
  • Bluetooth 6.0.1.3600.zip : Aspire 1640, 1640z, 1650, 1650z, 1690 ddr, 1690 ddr2, 3030, 3100, 3610, 3620, 3620-A Notebooks; Aspire Idea500, Idea510 Desktops.
  • BTW 6.0.1.3600 Acer.zip : Aspire 3000, 5000
  • BlueTooth.zip (6.0.1.3500) : Aspire Idea510
  • Bluetooth Driver.zip (5.1.0.2100) : Aspire Idea510
  • BlueTooth Driver and Application 5.0.1.1400.zip : Aspire 1650z
