These are Mars3 56k PCI Win-chipset modems manufactured on an OEM basis by RISQ Modular Systems for Hewlett Packard, who installed them within various personal computers.

The driver is described as being for “all versions of Windows”. Please note that it is specific to the HP Cheetah range of modems, and will not load other Lucent LT Win Modems.

These pages are a LAMP-development of the original Modem-Help, UK site (most of the old HTML pages still exist, but havn’t been updated for quite some time). That site, in it’s turn, was a transfer from the first html site on free-pages at Freeserve (sadly, now gone).
