Notes & Comments on the /mfcs_P/PC-Tel/AMR/ Directory:

All except the Amptron (NT4) drivers are v8.00.0005.0 (R8.00-9K Build 0005, dated 3 Nov 2000) for modems from C-Media. The 9x driver should also work for NT4. The Amptron driver is a standard driver for the ubiquitous PCT789 56k HSP chipsets.

These drivers were originally sourced from PCTel in the days when they provided generic drivers on their website. Then, all support was transferred to Conexant, and some drivers for some chipsets (this one among them) fell through the cracks.

These pages are a LAMP-development of the original Modem-Help, UK site (most of the old HTML pages still exist, but havn’t been updated for quite some time). That site, in it’s turn, was a transfer from the first html site on free-pages at Freeserve (sadly, now gone).
